Well, currently I am sitting by the Pool in Ft.Lauderdale waiting for my pick-p to arrive…going to Orlando and hopefully performing there toninght:)

I am traveling with Team Mr. Gay world Usa and it has been so much fun:) Tehy are looking for the next mr. USA so if you know anyone that you think might try it out log on to their mewsite www.mrgayworldusa.com and get them going:)

Ahead is a fully booked autumn performing in Iceland and Europe! Up next is  the Stockholm Pride on the 29th of july. This will be my first time in this beautiful city and I am looking forward for that visit – heard so many wonderful things:) Here is their website if you are interested:

Tonight in the Telenor Arena, Hera will be the 16th on stage and we send our all of our love and energy to the Icelandic performers; Hera, Heiða, Erna, Pétur and Kristján!

It’s up to you to secure Hera the victory tonight!

This week Hera’s Eurovision song, Je Ne Sais Quoi, ranks higher than any other song from the Eurovision song contest this year on iTunes. This shows that Je Ne Sais Quoi is a song that people like and want to listen to longer than the Eurovision song contest lasts.  

Today Hera and her great team will practise in Telenor Arena along with rest of the 25 finalists. Two dress rehearsals are scheduled today and one tomorrow. That meens packed day for the whole team for the last two days in Oslo. Hera will give her best performance on all practises and of course on Saturday night in the grand Final.

Hera’s popularity continues here in Oslo. Yesterday the Foreign Minster of Norway, Jonas Gahr Störe, wished to meet with Hera. Despite of Hera’s busy scedule she found the time to meet the minster. Hera and mr. Störe talked about the the situation in Iceland, the effect of the volcano eruption and of course Hera sang her beautiful Je Ne Sais Quoi. Mr. Störe is a fan of Hera’s and was really pleaced to meet with her.

Yesterday evening Hera performed at two clubs in Oslo. Her first performance was at Smuget, the offical Eurovision club where OGAE, the official fan clubs of Eurovision, held their annual party. Many contestant appeard on stages and sang their entries and some also other songs. The club was filled with people and when Hera came on stages the crowed was shouting her name and clapping. Hera sang four songs. First she sang her song from the Melodi Grand Prix in Denmark last year, Someday, then the old eighties hit Love trap and her well known version of Knock on wood. At the end she ofcource sang her Eurovision entry, Je Ne Sais Quoi. The crowed was really pleaced with Heras performance and wanted more when she finished.

Hera also performed at the club Latter where NRK, the Norwegian television and the Norwegian Eurovision bloggers from Good Evening Europe hosted a party. Only Norwegian people were in the club and like at the Eurovision club, the crowd went absolutly crazy when Hera performed.

This is a great boost for Hera and her team for Saturdaynight!

The finalists had their press conference last night. The questions Hera got were a bit different that the others and the focus was on the volcanic eruption as it has been. The host of the conference made a remark that Hera had seen to that the eruption had stopped since she had gotten her way and got to the Finals.  

An Icelandic radio journalist asked Hera if she had personally stopped the eruption and the question got a lot of laughter from Hera herself and the audience. Hera answered that of course it was all the positive energy around the Icelandic entry and the delegation that had helped the song along. She added that the eruption had stopped because of her close relationship to Mother Nature!

The second question was from the international press and Hera was asked what she would change if she could change Eurovision history. Hera smiled and said that she aimed to change history for Iceland by winning. But aside from that she said she would have like to have the results different for the Icelandic entry in 2001 when Kristján, one of the back singers, represented Iceland with the song Angel.

Hera Björk was truly the star of the conference. When it was her time to answer questions, her spirit, humour and the big smile made the atmosphere at the press conference so much lighther and more fun!
